For us, the client/designer relationship is more important than the overall scope of work. Whether it’s decorating 2-3 rooms, renovating a powder bath, or taking an entire house down to the studs, a well aligned team approach (both in terms of values and process) is what makes for the best projects.
We bill hourly for all design and project management services. An estimate of hours, based on the agreed scope of work, is proposed after the initial meeting. We collect a retainer before work begins and detailed invoices are sent on a monthly basis.
For clients who are unsure, we will send over a worksheet that outlines an average investment range for items, based on our preferred vendor list. Every project is different, with many pieces being custom or semi-custom, and it’s always our goal to guide clients through deciding where to invest and where to save to create the most impactful space for them.
For full-service clients, all purchasing is handled by LHD to provide a seamless, white-glove experience. We sell products at retail (or better) and itemized proposals are sent for approval before every order is placed. Items are typically sent to a receiving warehouse where they are opened, inspected and stored until installation.
Not yet! For family reasons, we are only taking on full-service projects within New England at this time. Virtual consulting is a great alternative for those who are long distance (or local) who are seeking general design guidance.
